LAND RELEASE INFRASTRUCTURE

The Greater Holtze Development is a significant Northern Territory Government infrastructure initiative designed to support the next stage of residential growth within the Greater Holtze precinct, located northeast of Palmerston CBD in the Litchfield municipality. The project delivers critical transport and municipal infrastructure required to facilitate the release of residential land, including the Holtze Land Release, Territory Reserve Parcel developments, and future urban expansion areas.

The works comprise major road infrastructure upgrades and extensions to Linco Road and Glyde Point Road, including earthworks, road widening and duplication, pavement construction and rehabilitation, asphalt surfacing, signage, and line marking. Supporting stormwater infrastructure includes open swale drains, underground piped drainage networks, detention basin and outfall systems, subsoil drainage, and associated water quality management measures.

A substantial component of the project involves the delivery of essential services infrastructure, including new water reticulation networks connected to existing trunk mains, construction of sewer gravity mains, access chambers, and trunk sewer infrastructure incorporating micro-tunnelling works. Electrical and communications services include installation of package substations, high and low voltage underground networks, overhead powerline infrastructure, street lighting upgrades, pit and pipe communications networks, and associated service relocations and protections.

The development also incorporates extensive landscaping and urban amenity improvements, including shared pathways, tree planting, irrigation systems, detention ponds, reserve fencing, and environmental management measures. Complex traffic management arrangements are required throughout construction to maintain access to key public infrastructure, including arterial road networks, public transport facilities, and nearby health services.

Collectively, the Greater Holtze Development provides the enabling infrastructure necessary to unlock future residential development Asche while delivering essential transport, utilities, drainage, and community infrastructure to support the continued growth of the Palmerston and Greater Darwin regions.
